Synopsis :

WELCOME TO THE PUNCH is the second feature from Shifty writer-director Eran Creevy and producers Rory Aitken and Ben Pugh.  The film focuses on the relationship between detective Max Lewinsky and Ex-criminal Jacob Sternwood, focusing on the moment Jacob’s son is involved in a heist gone wrong, forcing him to return to London from his Icelandic hideaway.  This gives Max another chance to take down the man he’s always been after, a man who has humiliated and physically scarred him. With the two men set on an unremitting collision course, they come across a deeper conspiracy that they will both need to solve in order to survive.

I have always been an ardent fan of action-packed movies over romantic ones so I was really delighted when I was selected to preview this movie 🙂

There were some thrilling parts which made the movie more intense and full of suspense. Ending with a twist, detective Max Lewinsky was ‘forced’ and under the duress to collaborate and cooperate with Former criminal Jacob Sternwood as they both have the same nemesis and goals. Trusting your nemesis is definitely a tall order for sure, what more a total stranger who shot your knee during a gun fight, as it was in this movie. As Jacob was responsible for severely injuring Max’s knee, the latter was thus indeed very determined to nab Jacob down, but ran into complications and confusions when he had to work with him.

There were also many other twists which I shall not divulge to prevent being a spoiler.

But if you’re a fan of thrills and actions, you will be missing out a whole lot if you don’t catch this! 😉
